To Nationals 2016!

The University of Wisconsin- Stout  is proud to host the 32nd Science Olympiad National Tournament. Teams from around the nation will represent their states at the highest level of academic achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Science Olympiad provides a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) competition that rivals the excitement and commitment that sports have achieved in our US Schools. The Science Olympiad National Tournament will attract over 7000 diverse students, coaches and parents from all 50 states. Science Olympiad is dedicated to improving the quality of K-12 science education, increasing male, female, and minority interest in science, creating a technologically-literate workforce, and providing recognition for outstanding achievement by both students and teachers. The students will compete in events that focus on applied topics and challenges that emphasize team-work and interdisciplinary approaches to problem-solving. The 2016 Tournament will be the culminating experience that will begin with the participation of close to one million students from over 7000 schools from across the Nation in local, regional and state tournaments.
