Cafeteria locations will provide meals only to those SONT attendees that have purchased the meal plans that accompany overnight accommodations in the campus dorms. Entrance into the cafeterias will require the campus issued SONT Meal Plan Card. There will be no walk-in cash sales in these locations.

Cafeteria service provides a meal that includes one entrée selected from several on the menu each day. This entrée is then complemented by unlimited side dishes, salads, desserts and beverages which are self-service. Attendees will utilize trays for the meal and place trays in the dishroom when exiting. No food can be removed from the cafeteria. Nutritional information about the meals served will be available online at the dining service website the week of the tournament. www.uwstout.edu/dining Attendees with special dietary needs, allergens, intolerances or other medical needs will find special entrée and side dish menu items available at one station. Dietary preferences, such as vegetarian and vegan options, can be found at regular entrée stations, there is no need to use the special diet station to find these options.

The cafeteria will also be one of the buffet locations assigned to attendees for the Friday Night, Wisconsin Buffet and the Saturday Night, Awards Buffet. These meals will be made available to paper ticket holders assigned to this location.

This SONT card must be presented to the attendant at the entrance to the cafeteria for admittance.

  • Substitutions: Teams can request additional male or female rooms for these substitutions prior to April 15; however, following this priority date, team member substitutions cannot extend beyond the rooms assigned to the team (see example below).

For example, a team initially requested:

    • 7 male team spaces (4 rooms on men's floor-8 spaces)
    • 1 female chaperone (1 room on women's floor-2 spaces*)
    • 1 male chaperone (1 room on men's floor-2 spaces*)

    • The substitute would need to be a male. Ten rooms with 17 spaces utilized.
    • If a female team member and their female parent/chaperone can stay together in the female chaperone room (2 spaces), the substitute could be female. Nine rooms with 17 spaces would be used. One male room would be left empty and/or could be used for team storage.

Options if a female dropped out:

Yes...Both a male and female coach/chaperone are required to stay with each team in the dorm. Chaperones may take a single room, stay with their child of the same gender or stay with another chaperone of the same gender. Coach/Chaperones are expected to have knowledge of, and comply with, Wisconsin Executive Order 54: Child Protection Act.

Q: What if I need to make a substitution? Does it need to be the same gender?
Substitution team members can typically be accommodated, but it might require a coach to adjust room assignments. Here's how:
At registration, team coaches/designees will be asked to identify:
  • Number of male team member rooms (2 spaces per room)
  • Number of female team member rooms (2 spaces per room)
  • Female Chaperone Name(s): (1 room-2 spaces available)
  • Male Chaperone Name(s): (1 room-2 spaces available)

If a substitution is made and male/female room distribution of rooms changes, an "Add another room" request can be submitted prior to April 15 priority date. However, after the priority date, team member substitutions cannot extend beyond the rooms assigned to the team.

For example, a team initially requested:
  • 8 female team spaces (4 rooms on women's floor-8 spaces)
  • 7 male team spaces (4 rooms on men's floor-8 spaces)
  • 1 female chaperone (1 room on women's floor-2 spaces*)
  • 1 male chaperone (1 room on men's floor-2 spaces*)
  • 17 spaces requested total (10 rooms total)

*Team members cannot stay with a chaperone/coach unless they are parent & child of the same gender as floors have single gender bathrooms.

Options if a male dropped out after April 15:
  • If a male dropped out, another space in the female team rooms is unavailable.

Options if a female dropped out after April 15:
  • If a female dropped out, a female space and a male space is available.
  • The substitute could be either gender. The chaperones would remain in single rooms and all ten rooms would have at least 1 person assigned.
